Written in brown ink on the frame verso paper tape:Rome, Tunnel for letting out water of Lago Albano, made by the Romans about 393BC during the seige of Veii. It is about a mile long, 5 palms (44 inch) wide & 9 palms (79 1/5inches, 6ft 7 1/5 inch) 3ft 8 in high. The Lago Albano was an ancient crater it is 8 miles round & 468 ft deep. Written paper labels on the left and right side of the frame is 'R.73' .
