The Crystal Palace showing the Great Exhibition 1851, a view of the East, or foreign, nave. A number of marble statues on plinths are on display in the central area, with smaller exhibits to the edges of the nave. Two statues are seen in the centre of the image, each a riderless rearing horse being restrained by a human figure. The nave shows three floor levels to the left of the image; the lower two with a range of exhibits. From the first level, a series of national flags hang, decorating the nave area. The top level appears devoid of exhibits, the glass windows are unimpeded by displays.
